Creality Printer Monitor
Local dashboard + MCP server for Creality 3D printers (Hi, K1, K2): live status, cameras, uploads, slicing, history. No cloud.
01 · What it does
- Finds Creality OS printers on the LAN and follows them if their IP changes
- Status, temperatures, progress and camera snapshots the agent can look at
- Start, pause, resume and stop prints; temperatures, fans, light, speed, axis moves, G-code
- Upload STL/3MF/OBJ/STEP and slice with OrcaSlicer's Creality profiles
- Print history with costs, maintenance reminders, smart plug power-off (Shelly, Tasmota)
02 · Install
$ uvx --from git+https://github.com/catmargiela/creality-printer-monitor printermonitor
$ claude mcp add --transport http creality-printers http://127.0.0.1:8000/mcp/- The app must be running: it serves MCP at http://<computer-ip>:8000/mcp/ and the dashboard at http://localhost:8000
- The Claude Desktop config above needs Node.js
- If Claude runs on another machine, replace 127.0.0.1 with the app's IP and allow that name with PM_MCP_HOSTS
- Don't open a router port: the printers' API has no authentication. The README suggests Tailscale or another VPN
- Classic Marlin printers (Ender-3, Ender-3 V2) have no network API and aren't supported
