ccu-mcp

MCP server for HomeMatic smart homes: talks to the CCU's built-in JSON-RPC API on your LAN and exposes devices, rooms, programs and system variables, no cloud

01 · What it does

  • List devices, rooms, functions, programs, system variables and links
  • Read values and paramsets, and set values such as room heating targets
  • Run programs, manage system variables and assign channels to rooms
  • Check service messages, low batteries, RSSI and system info
  • Switch between several CCUs, and run raw HomeMatic Script for bulk jobs

02 · Install

$ export CCU_HOST=your-ccu-hostname-or-ip
$ export CCU_PASSWORD=your-ccu-admin-password
$ npx ccu-mcp --stdio
  1. Works with debmatic, CCU3 or OpenCCU (formerly RaspberryMatic): anything exposing /api/homematic.cgi
  2. npx ccu-mcp init probes the CCU, pins its TLS certificate, tests the login and prints a client config
  3. Outside Docker set CACHE_DIR (e.g. $HOME/.cache/ccu-mcp) so the device cache and session persist
  4. Docker HTTP mode: ghcr.io/claymore666/ccu-mcp, bearer token in /data/.env, set MCP_ALLOWED_HOSTS for remote clients
  5. Tested on HmIP thermostats, door/window contacts, energy meter, floor heating and BidCos remotes

03 · Client config (from README)
