meshtastic-mcp install registers it in Claude Code (user scope) and installs the bundled skills; --client cursor|windsurf|claude-desktop for other clients, --print to just show the JSON
Manual alternative: claude mcp add meshtastic -s user -- meshtastic-mcp
Use uv tool install meshtastic-mcp to skip the camera/OCR [ui] extras
Core tools need no firmware checkout; set MESHTASTIC_FIRMWARE_ROOT (and PlatformIO) to enable build and flash tools
