Yeelight IoT MCP

Yeelight's official MCP server for Yeelight Pro homes: discover homes, rooms, devices, groups and scenes, then preview and run device controls and scenes

01 · What it does

  • Read the selected house and list areas, rooms, devices, groups and scenes
  • Preview or run a device property command (control_node)
  • Preview or run a scene (execute_scene)
  • Dry-run by default, with explicit confirmation before side effects

02 · Install

$ npm install --global yeelight-home
$ yeelight-home setup --lang en-US --mode mcp --agent cursor --mcp-source cloud --yes
  1. Published by Yeelight. The setup command shows a QR code: in the Yeelight Pro app tap + > MCP Authorization and scan it
  2. The setup configures this server together with Yeelight Metadata MCP; the README recommends that over installing this one alone
  3. Cloud based: even a self-hosted copy still calls Yeelight cloud APIs
  4. The config is the README's manual-token path, for advanced use

03 · Client config (from README)
